That the
Broad National Consumer Price Index (Índice Nacional de Preços ao
Consumidor Amplo (IPCA) rose 0.72% variation in August, which above the
August reading (0.65%). As a result, the accumulated
variation for this year reached 5.60%, in excess of the 5.35% observed for the
same period last year. For the past 12 months, the index was
situated at 7.93%, exceeding the reading for the 12-month through August (7.46%).
