The
National Statistical Institute (INE, Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas)
reports:
In July, industrial
production added 8.6% compared to the same month last year. In the
period from January 2002 to July 2002, the industrial production index
experienced an expansion of 1.7%. Moreover, the moving quarterly and
annual averages show increases of 0.9% and 1.3% respectively.
It should be noted that
July this year counted two more working days than July 2001, which
inflated the above mentioned results.
