The
Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) reports
that:
The
variation in the Consumer Price Index
(CPI) for November reached 0.78%, which was 0.12% higher than the rate registered
for the same month last year. In historical terms, the rate can be
situated among the highest for a month in the last ten years.
The
October 2002 variation can be explained principally by higher food,
transport/communications and housing costs.
Between
January and November of 2002 the accumulated variation reached 6.71%,
which is below the 7.28% registered in November last year.
