The
National Statistical Institute (INEGI, Instituto Nacional de
Estadística Geografía e Informática) reports:
In
September
of the current year, the monthly indicator for economic activity (IGAE,
Indicador Global de la Actividad Económica) registered an increase of
1.5% in real terms compared with the same period last year.
According to seasonally adjusted data, the economy dropped 0.15% in
September
over the preceding month.
On a
sectoral basis, agriculture declined 4.7%,
industry dropped 0.6% and
services grew 2.9% compared to the same month
last year.
