The
National Statistical Institute (INEGI, Instituto Nacional de
Estadística Geografía e Informática) reports:
In
October, the monthly indicator for economic activity (IGAE,
Indicador Global de la Actividad Económica) registered an increase of
2.6% in real terms compared with the same period last year.
According to seasonally adjusted data, the economy increased 0.65% in
October
over the preceding month.
On a
sectoral basis, agriculture declined 3.8%,
industry added 1.3% and services grew 3.2% compared to the same month
last year.
