National Statistical Institute (INEGI, Instituto Nacional de
Estadística Geografía e Informática) reports:
In
January, the monthly indicator for economic activity (IGAE,
Indicador Global de la Actividad Económica) registered an increase of
2.0% in real terms compared with the same period last year.
According to seasonally adjusted data, the economy contracted 0.23% in
January
over the preceding month.
