The numbers in detail

 

The Mexican Central Bank (Banco de México) reports:

In the second quarter, the current account of the balance of payments balance registered a deficit of US$ 3,005 million.  The deficit was fully covered by external inflows of long-term private sector resources. The current account deficit was below the deficit recorded in the first quarter 2002 (US$ -3,798 million) and also below the deficit in the same period last year (US$ -3,610) million.
